British Cycle Race: Judith Court
A good photo although I think it would of been better shot at ground level but that’s my opinion. Needs cropping to adjust the blurred finger caught upper top other wise I like the overall idea of the photo.
Dash To The Finish Line: Andrew Ogdon
Nice photo, I would of maybe focused largely on the windsurfer to bring in more detail or even maybe a crop of the right hand side and bottom to effectively zoom in but still a nice shot.
Going It Alone: Andrew Ogdon
A nice photograph however I think the main focus of the kite surfer is lost with the overpowering of the building in the background.
Henry’s Triumphant Moment: Steve Court
A slight crop would bring a more central photograph, good use of the theme sport! Like this!
Come On Henry: Judith Court 3rd
Good action shot nicely caught. Well done!
Tour Of Britain: Judith Court 2nd
I like this up close photograph of the cyclists really captures the ‘’race’’ a crop of the immediate left bike tyre would finish this off nicely.
Preparation Time: Andrew Ogdon 1st
Great central shot love the use of monochrome with the bold pop of colour really makes a great photograph. Very well done!
Experienced:
Airbourne: Steve Hall
Overall a great photograph, I’d of liked to have seen a more central crop but great none the less.
Archery: Alan Sheridan
An interesting sport entry something a little different, good overall photograph.
Ball Game At Las Canteras: Wendy Kerr
I like this picture although the second ball to the right takes the eye adrift from the main ball which pops out good effort.
Dirty Biker: Steve Hall
Good idea of a sport photo however I feel the cropping or shooting of this photo could of been done a little further back to get him all in.
Find The Ball: Alan Hillman
Interesting long exposure, maybe a little tricky to see what’s actually going but a nice dynamic image.
Flying: Steve Goldsmith
Well captured high speed shot nice frame and good position.
Focused: Steve Hall
Nicely timed well captured dynamic shot gives a great sense of speed throughout.
Football: Colin Bramer
Great photograph well captured and well timed an interesting piece.
Getting Wet: Keith Vincent
A great well timed photograph nice rule of thirds caught here.
Green Team: Carol Sheridan
Great Bokeh on this shot, a nice overall photograph.
Happy Runners: Keith Dawson
It’s a good shot however it’s a shame the background isn’t blurred further to make the two runners and a happy faces stand out more. Overall quite good shot.
Open Badminton: Duncan Gray
Very dynamic well timed capture gives a great sense of movement and captures a lot of energy detail and colours.
Out To Win: Steve Goldsmith
A simple shot with a nice blurred background maybe the colours a little flat but if it’s a dull day but hard to do, nicely framed and nicely sharp in focused.
Rockingham: Keith Vincent
This image is a little too flat and it’s difficult to understand at first glance. It’s a shame the cars are moving on the signage is in focus. The colours and the crop are well done though.
Rugby: Alan Sheridan
The shadows on the faces of the individuals is perhaps a little too dark to see any great detail and the scaffolding on one side is a bit too intrusive. However it’s a good capture of a moment in the game.
Sand Racing: Colin Brammer
Nice and sharp focused shot of the dirty racer just shows how muddy these sports can gets and a nice blurred background makes the rider really stand out.
Second Batch Of Riders: Keith Dawson
Colourful vibrant image but maybe cropped a little too tight on the peloton
Skateboarder & Cyclist: Wendy Kerr
A great fun captured images works well in black and white
Sport Of People Watching: Wendy Kerr
The horizon could have been made level. But a good colourful photograph.
Swing: Alan Hillman
An interesting long exposure. Nice vibrant colours throughout.
Tennis Ball Factory: Richard Holmes
Really interesting photograph I especially like the mowing the tennis ball great shot well thought out.
That Felt Good: Alan Hillman
I think the long exposure really spoils this photograph as it’s really hard to tell what is actually happening.
Touchdown: Duncan Gray
A nicely timed well captured picture spoilt only by the two people in the background. of course it’s hard to keep these things out of the background in as dynamic sport such as American football.
Tour De France Riders: Keith Dawson
well composed image with all the front riders in focus, nice colour throughout.
Volleyball: Richard Holmes
A fun quirky image. The sand /sandpaper link is very clever.
Warming Up For Competition: Steve Goldsmith
A nice crisp balanced image. The horse could’ve been a little bit further over in the centre of the image but still a great image throughout.
Winners: Alan Sheridan
Good image showing teammates having fun in their favourite sport. Team play is always important and the shows through in the image.
Wipeout: Carol Sheridan
A great well timed image works well in black-and-white with the pop of colour on the surfboard in the middle. Great image all round.
Catch The Wind: Keith Vincent Highly Commended
I really like this photograph, I particularly like the detail in the windsurfer against the ever so slight blur of the beach and the angle and natural lighting that shines of the water really makes the subject pop. Fantastic!
Easy Rider: Carol Sheridan Highly Commended
A great surfer shot! Love the colours captured in the sea and the balance of light to exposure, capturing the surfer in a great pose and the detail really shows
A Quite Word: Colin Brammer 3rd
Brilliant shot! Love the forground blurness of the ring ropes and the sharpness of the subjects. Good lighting and a good angle.
Safe Swimming: Richard Holmes 2nd
Every month I see the photos entered into the competition and I look forward to seeing this photographers entry’s they are really so creative and a total different take on all aspects of the ‘norm’ style of photography and this months doesn’t disappoint, I as an NHS Keyworker genuinely found the use of a face mask as a swimming pool both hilarious and very well thought of! Absolutely genius! Great idea and a great use of light and brilliant photo!
Marli: Duncan Gray 1st
I love this photo, the black and white gives it a real different feel superbly shot and detail is amazing with the water spray really great photo! Well done!
