Whats On Article By Gwynn Price

Corralejo Camera Club was formed in October of 2015 by our Chairman Alan Hillman and has grown steadily since then. I joined in November of 2016 and now General & Competition Secretary, I also help to look after and maintain the club’s website: corralejocameraclub.com

We have a mixture of people for across the globe who keep in touch even if they only come here on holiday. and send in their entries for the competitions. The next Competition is for October, the theme is ‘Wall/Street Art’ and the deadline being Tuesday 25th September. We have a different theme each month and although we have 3rd, 2nd, 1st Prize Winners there is no prizes as the club is limited to funds, and all results and information go on the website.

There are the occasional outing across this beautiful island of ours where we meet up then find our own way around the location and some different fantastic shots are taken by those present, and twice a year we send in ‘Outings’ Photo’s and have a discussion on each, this way we find we all get different ideas and the ‘Beginners’ especially get good advice & tips & help from the more ‘Experienced’ The next outing is at the ‘Tran Tran Festival’ In Gran Tarajal on Saturday 22nd September.

We welcome new members to join us at our meetings and outings even if you are only here on holiday and if you think you may be a beginner there is always some one to help. If you require more information send us an e-mail at corralejocameraclub@gmail.com or on our Face Book page, Corralejo Camera Club Friends. There are no fees to join we just look forward to you joining us whenever.

We have our ‘2nd Exhibition’ of members photo’s from around the island in El Cotillo at the Costillo del Toston from the 3rd October to the 30th November so if you are here on holiday pop in to have a look it’s only 1.50 euros each.
